B. FAVORITE BAND.
Oh geez, I have to choose? I have Rilo Kiley, CHVCHES, and Sonata Arctica duking it out right now.
C. WHO I LIKE AND WHY I LIKE THEM.
I am not seeking anyone right now. I am on the asexual spectrum and tend to only seek out relationships when I feel as though I can manage one… since I am a shitty girlfriend when I am bogged down by other obligations since I tend to put them first over relationships. :u (AKA, I don’t like anyone at the moment romantically speaking)
S. A RANDOM FACT ABOUT MYSELF.
I can count to three in Polish
Y. DO YOU WANT TO GO TO COLLEGE.
*cries her student loan tears onto her Master’s degree*
Anonymous said: D. HARDEST THING I’VE EVER BEEN THROUGH.
There’s so many things, I cannot place. I would probably say the loss of my maternal grandmother. I am still slowly getting over her death, even though it’ll be 10 years on September 4th.
So much went on around the time of her death, I wasn’t allowed to grieve properly, so I’m still in the process of letting go.
Also, it was my grandmother. She would phone us every day and I would see her every weekend. She was such an important part of my life and when I lost that… I couldn’t even process it at the time. I was a huge wreck. Sometimes I still can be when I think too hard about her…
Anonymous said: N. FAVOURITE PLACE TO SHOP AT?
I don’t really have a favorite store since I have become really protective of how I spend my money. I guess I would go wild in the Nintendo store in NYC, though. I would not feel bad about a PENNY I would spend there.
I still have yet to go, though. D;

I do not have any tattoos buuuut I do have my ears pierced and my navel. It was a vanity thing to keep me wanting to hold onto a six pack because something something dumb thinspiration thing I read four years ago.
Yeah, it was pretty silly of me, but I have grown to like it.

(I really wanted to illustrate but drawins weren’t happening)
Tryn: Sure, there be some people I am just DYIN’ to get my hands on. Like Idris Elba, Don Cheadel…. there’s Denzel Washington, that weather channel dude… don’t know his name but his smile is like the sun. … That local news guy who does the traffic
oh, you meant people in my life right now? HAH. Once I’m done flipping quarters into the wishing well, I’ll let you know. I have a feeling this Susan B Anthony coin will earn me some alone time with Djimon Hounsou.
This is why I love collies.
Preston let himself be “walked” by a 10-month-old. Look at how he looks at her!
Anonymous said: We're not brainwashed? We know that's photoshopped.
No. This website is brainwashed. You want to know how?
We are taught to fear being wrong. We are then taught to support, defend, and ultimately believe ideas based SOLELY on how good they make us feel.
We’re not taught to critically think. Honestly, we aren’t encouraged to question. If we’re curious, we just take the first answer we get unless if it makes us feel bad than it must be a lie.
This website swallows every bit of news that makes them feel good and that they’re part of a cause.
At the same time, they are too afraid to find out what the other side is saying out of fear that they will be proven wrong.
We’re living in the goddamn Matrix.
We are totally ruled by our emotions and all the media outlets owned by SIX COMPANIES. (All our newspapers, cable TV, radio… all owned by six people and the number is getting smaller as more mergers happen. But that’s a different topic for another time…)
We would rather lie to ourselves and feel good about it than know the truth because we have been trained to be afraid of being wrong. We are also trained to feel humiliated when someone, who doesn’t align with our beliefs, catches us being wrong.
And this really makes me angry and disheartened that I see people my age, younger, and older, spitting out a bunch of lies like it’s some sweet nectar that sets your soul free. And they get so afraid and ANGRY when confronted about it.
Because, deep down, the only things they know about their platforms are what they have been told by biased media outlets, who just pat them on the freaking back in exchange for swallowing their shit hook, line, and sinker.
People don’t know shit anymore. Liberal, Conservative, you name it - you got your whack jobs on both ends and they are exactly the same in how they are informed and how they choose to defend their stances and willingly stay ignorant.
Because schools taught us to believe what the teacher says because teacher knows best, right? The teacher is older, wiser, and definitely overall is more “in the know.” Right?
Yeah, think about that for a second. Our desire to challenge people is based on how comfortable we feel about “taking them on” instead of “learning the truth.”
We aren’t taught to look at the headlines and go, “I wonder what other people are saying about it.” Instead we are taught to say “I knew it!” We then feel good about ourselves and not think further into it except for how it makes us feel. And then we simply go on to choose consuming other like-minded sources to further back us up should we feel the need to “read more.”
DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE TO YOU?
It’s like a conservative only looking at pro-life sites to get their opinion on abortion. Likewise, it’s like a liberal only looking at pro-choice sites to form their opinion about abortion.
It’s all divide and conquer. We are taught to fear the “middle ground” because we then look “indecisive” and don’t have any “party lines.”
We are taught to feel uncomfortable about exploring the opposite opinion. So we avoid it to continue feeling good about ourselves.
And, my friend, isn’t that fucking brainwashing when you willingly choose not to expose yourself to other ideas because you would rather not risk upsetting yourself… maybe even someone else?
So, yeah, get your head out of the Matrix and learn to support your arguments by looking at both sides and then arriving at your own fucking conclusion instead of believing whatever Tumblr tells you to.
